THE PROBLEM

Prior to coming to Bizzuka, Rapid Energy had a Microsoft Frontpage-style site that did not work for what was needed. The site looked elementary, lacking in professional design. Since the company did work in places like Kuwait, Alaska and Indonesia, they felt it was important to present a new face to the world and be recognized internationally. The company also wanted to distinguish the different divisions of the company in the design. In addition, they needed a "back office” solution which would allow staff members to manage content.

Rapid Energy wanted to use a local company. After looking at two that had been recommended, they chose Bizzuka, saying that the company offered a more hands-on approach, a much more practical suite of Web content management components and a faster learning curve given that the platform did not require learning HTML.

Bizzuka provided the company with three design options. Once a design had been approved, development proceeded quickly and within three weeks the site was populated with content, going live shortly thereafter.

Almost immediately, Rapid Energy started receiving comments on the design of the site. In fact, what ensued was a different tone of conversation altogether, according to company CEO David Trahan. The company was making a serious impression on customers and partners thanks to the quality of the design.

One of the key features Bizzuka provided was a "turn-key” solution for the graphic interface. The company no longer had to concern themselves with graphics and could focus solely on content creation. They also like the Software as a Service (SaaS) model, which freed them from the responsibility of hosting and software maintenance and which gave them timely upgrades without incurring additional costs.
